The fantastic trail systems in Quebec allows snowmobilers and quaders alike to pack up thier luggage and go on a holiday. Just like you would in your vehicle. On this week long trip, five of us left Quebec city and headed north along the St Lawrence River to Tadoussac. Here, we rode our sleds onto the ferry that crosses the Saguenay River. Once on the north side, we headed west through the Mount Valin area and then onto Jonquire to meet up with my Aunts and Uncles. After a quick overnight visit, we rode south to Quebec city through the Laurentian Park. I forget exactly how many kilometers we put on in the seven days, but I think it was around the 2000km mark. It was a great trip, and I would certainly recommend it to anyone that is interested in snowmobiling.
Too much snow for the machine or the rider?

Rental outfit replaced the Pro-X 800 with the Rev 600 after it blew a hole in the chain case. Turned out that the 600 was much more fun.

No oil in chain case-no go.

Which way now?

Trail side stop -beer and burgers.

Just getting ready to leave the rental place. Here is the lame Pro-X. It is too bad it never ran right, I was looking forward to trying out the power.

Out of gas -bummer.

Ooopps!

Traffic lights for the snowmobiles. Mainly on bridge crossings where there is only enough room on the sidewalk for one sled at a time.

Ice fishing shacks.

No vehicles allowed- only sleds!!

Warm up shack along the trail. I am not sure why all these guys are sitting so close to each other!?

Eric came flying over this rise on the Rev and could not stop in time. He ran into the Touring machine and cut a hole in the running board which acts as a radiator. No coolant- no go. Eric wanted me to mention that I was parked "on" the trail, which I was NOT! I was actually off the trail and he still hit me!

The damage done.

Machine shop came out, picked it up and repaired it for us. Total cost was about $80 I think ( Eric would know better). We were back on the trail in about two hours.

One of the many great hotels that cater to snowmobilers.

One trail for quads and one for sleds. These guys got it figured out!

The crew: Leon, Lionel,Ben, Eric, Me.

Getting ready for another day of riding. Not sure what the thumbs down is about.

I think this was the place with the fantastic mushroom soup-we still talk about it. That's the St. Lawrence river in the background.

Being towed by the groomer. Boring!
